Western Digital just a made a ludicrously large My Book Duo
storage system. At 20 TB, it's the highest capacity external hard drive the
company has ever sold.
"Both at home and in the office, people are creating
and amassing huge volumes of data, and need high capacity, high-speed solutions
to easily and confidently move and store that data in a single location,"
WD's Sven Rathjen, said in a press statement. While many users couldn't imagine
using 20TB worth of memory, Rathjen says things like "new content creation
segments such as the drone market...enthusiasts, as well as professionals,
producing and editing massive, high-quality photo and video files."
RAID-optimized and speeds up to 360 MB/s sequential reads,
the new My Book Duo is quite simply a speedy storage monster.
